Biography

Dominic Groulx is a Professor and Department Head in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Dalhousie University. He received his Bachelor of Science in Physics from Université de Sherbrooke in 1999, followed by a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution in 2005. His research interests focus on phase change and multiphase processes, including solid-liquid phase change, close contact melting, and phase change materials. He has also explored two-phase flow and the application of inverse heat transfer methods to various systems such as latent heat energy storage systems, heat exchangers, and thermal systems for nuclear reactors. In addition to his research, he teaches engineering thermodynamics courses.
