Biography

Dominika Pindus completed her PhD in Physical Activity, Public Health, and Cognition from Loughborough University in Leicestershire, United Kingdom. She joined the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health from a postdoctoral research position in the Department of Psychology at Northeastern University, where she was mentored by Professor Charles Hillman. Her research focuses on the relationship between physical activity and cognitive control in preadolescents, specifically investigating the connections between sedentary time, physical activity, and working memory. Prior to her role at Northeastern University, Dr. Pindus held a postdoctoral position in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care at the University of Cambridge in England. She continues her research in exercise psychology within the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health. Dr. Pindus is passionate about her research areas, which include physical activity, sedentary behaviors, and neurocognitive function, and is excited to conduct interdisciplinary work in this leading kinesiology department.
