Biography

Don currently lectures in the Game Design Department at Uppsala University, focusing on areas such as game development, project management, and game design. He has a background as an entrepreneur, having started and consulted for companies in China, the Americas, and Europe, with a particular emphasis on gaming, large-scale simulations, government projects, and commercial entertainment games. Don was a speaker at top international events such as GDC, China Joy, and E3. He served as the Program Director for the University of Gotland's Game Department from 2005 to 2010, where he developed an educational program that catered to 120 to 500 students and involved 35 staff members. In addition, he founded and produced the Gotland Game Awards from 2007 to 2010, a game contest focusing on independent games by students and using alternative success criteria. He was also the founder and Project Leader of the JADE project from 2006 to 2008, aimed at supporting female game students in creating their own companies and providing additional support to enter game education and the game industry.
