Biography

Don MacKenzie is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Washington, where he leads the Sustainable Transportation Lab. His research focuses on developing and evaluating technical policy solutions that make transportation systems economically viable and environmentally benign while providing access to opportunities. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Systems and a S.M. in Technology Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a BASc in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of British Columbia. He is a member of the Transportation Research Board’s Standing Committee on Transportation Energy and serves on the editorial board for Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment.
