Don X. Nguyen, born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, obtained his B.Sc. from McGill University in 1998 and completed his Ph.D. in Microbiology & Immunology at the University of Rochester in 2004. Following his doctoral studies, he pursued post-doctoral training at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Institute in New York. In 2010, he joined the faculty at Yale School of Medicine and is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Medical Oncology. Dr. Nguyen is the co-leader of the Cancer Signaling Networks program at Yale Cancer Center. His research focuses on understanding the biology of central nervous system metastasis, particularly the mechanisms of tumor progression and drug resistance. Recent studies from his lab have shed light on the role of cell lineage in tumor development, the epigenetic regulation of cell communication, and how these factors contribute to resistance in brain metastasis.
