Biography

Donald Kelley, M.D., is an affiliate faculty member at Dell Medical School, focusing on education and the training of physician leaders who can navigate systemic challenges in healthcare while prioritizing the care of individual patients. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Auburn University and completed his medical education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. Dr. Kelley completed his pediatric residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and a fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital in 1993. His clinical interests include neonatal nutrition, necrotizing enterocolitis, and establishing guidelines for parenteral nutrition and feeding. Outside of his professional pursuits, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and backpacking, as well as visiting national parks and traveling.
