Donald Patrick McDonnell is the Glaxo-Wellcome Distinguished Professor of Molecular Cancer Biology at Duke University’s School of Medicine. McDonnell has explored important pathways linking obesity and dyslipidemia to cancer risk, particularly in the context of triple-negative breast cancer. He received his Ph.D. from Baylor College of Medicine in 1988 and has been honored with several grants from the National Institutes of Health to support his research initiatives.
