Biography

Donald Palisaitis is an experienced clinician and interventional cardiologist. His expertise develops in the management of acute coronary syndromes and myocardial infarction. He has authored 24 peer-reviewed articles and 18 abstracts. His primary scientific interests include teaching at all levels, including medical students, residents, and peers. Nationally, he is the co-director of the following national symposia: Canadian workshop on coronary physiology and IVUS (since 2000), and the annual symposium on interventional cardiology of the SCC of CAIC (2005 to present). He received his medical degree from Université de Sherbrooke in 1982, and has certifications in internal medicine from McGill University and cardiology from the University of Toronto. He further completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the Montreal Heart Institute, Université de Montréal.
