Dong Jun Kim completed his Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea, in 2010. He then pursued a Ph.D. in Materials Science Engineering at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), where he conducted research under Professor Jang Wook Choi, finishing in August 2015. Following this, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Stoddart group at Northwestern University, focusing on the development of new organic active materials for rechargeable batteries. In October 2018, he began his independent career as a lecturer in the School of Chemistry at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), where his research interests include the design and synthesis of supramolecular compounds for applications in energy storage materials. He has received several grants, including the Australian Research Council's Discovery Early Career Researcher Award for 2021-2024 and Faculty of Science - Industry Network Seed Funding in 2023.
