Biography

Dong Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on human genetics and the molecular mechanisms underlying various pediatric hematologic malignancies. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from Southwest University, China, in 2006, followed by a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the same institution in 2011. Following his doctoral studies, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Applied Genomics at Children's Hospital Philadelphia from 2011 to 2014, and currently engaged in a Fellowship in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics at the University of Pennsylvania from 2023 to 2025. Dr. Li has an extensive publication record highlighting significant contributions to understanding genomic anomalies in relation to neurodevelopmental disorders and hereditary diseases. His works have been published in reputable journals and he is recognized for his contributions to genomic analysis techniques in clinical settings.
