Biography

I am an astrophysicist and cosmologist studying the origin and evolution of the Universe. I am a working professor in the Astronomy and Astrophysics department at the Eberly College of Science, Pennsylvania State University, and a part of the Center for Theoretical and Observational Cosmology (CTOC) and the Institute for Gravitation and Cosmos (IGC). My prior experience includes being a postdoctoral fellow in theoretical cosmology at the Physics and Astronomy department at Johns Hopkins University, where I collaborated with Prof. Marc Kamionkowski. I have also worked with the Texas Cosmology Center as a graduate student under the supervision of Prof. Eiichiro Komatsu. My research primarily focuses on theoretical cosmology and comprises real data analysis, particularly involving high redshift galaxy surveys, such as the Hobby-Eberly Telescope Dark Energy Experiment (HETDEX). This survey aims to understand the properties of dark energy by analyzing the distribution of galaxies, specifically Lyman-alpha emitters, and is designed to observe a million galaxies across a 540 square degree area of the sky with a redshift range between 1.9 and 3.5, with data collection set to be completed in July 2024. Additionally, I am involved in the LVK collaboration, working externally to search for sub-Chandrasekhar mass black holes.
