Biography

Dongsheng Yang is an assistant professor at the Electrical Energy Systems Group in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). His main research interests include modeling, analysis, control, and design of power electronics dominated power systems, with a focus on safely accommodating high penetrations of renewable energy sources and energy-efficient end-uses. Dongsheng received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Nanjing, China, in 2008, 2011, and 2016, respectively. In 2016, he joined Aalborg University in Denmark as a postdoctoral researcher, and he became an assistant professor in the Department of Energy Technology in 2018. Since 2019, he has been working within the Electrical Energy Systems group at TU/e. Dr. Yang is a senior member of IEEE and serves as a topic chair and technical committee reviewer for top-level conferences and journals in power electronics. He is also a corresponding member of the CIGRE Working Group C4.56.
