Biography

Donka Markus is a Gerda K. Seligson Collegiate Lecturer in the Department of Classical Studies at the University of Michigan. She holds a B.A. from 1982, an M.A. from 1988, and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 1997. Additionally, she earned a degree from Sofia in 1992. Her teaching focuses on Latin and Classical Studies, and she is involved in a variety of courses including Late Latin, Intermediate Latin, and Postclassical Latin II. Markus plays an active role in fostering an understanding of Classical languages and literature through her curriculum. She has extensive academic experience and commitment to education in the field of Classics and continues to contribute significantly to her department and university community.
