Dr. Donn Feir

Biography

Donn L. Feir is a professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Victoria. An applied econometrician and labor economist, his work focuses on how historical and modern policies and events have shaped contemporary Indigenous experiences. Feir has a keen interest in policies that support Indigenous economic resurgence and well-being. He examines public policy and economic history to create institutional environments that foster economic opportunity and justice. Through his research, he aims to understand the complex interplay between various economic factors and the aspirations of Indigenous communities, with the goal of contributing to a more equitable and prosperous society.
