Dr. Donna Losell

Biography

Donna L. Losell is an Associate Professor Emerita in the Teaching Stream at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. She has been part of the faculty since 1981, progressing through the ranks from Assistant Professor to Senior Lecturer. Her expertise primarily lies in accounting, where she teaches a range of courses including Financial Distress and Insolvency, Managerial Decision Making, and Advanced Management Planning Control. Beyond traditional academic settings, Losell contributes significantly to executive education programs, including notable initiatives with Bridge Business and the Indian Railways Program. Her research focuses on the computerization of accounting systems and the implications of end user computing for internal control systems. Losell has published several significant papers addressing cost accounting, robotics, and internal control systems, making substantial contributions to the field of accounting through both her teaching and research.
