Biography

Donna Sturgess works with the Integrated Innovation Institute leadership team to explore and develop new strategic initiatives that help achieve its mission. She is the President and Founding Partner of Buyology Inc. and formerly served as the Global Head of Innovation at GlaxoSmithKline. With 25 years of U.S. and global experience, she has been the commercial head of large brand portfolios prior to her innovation role. Sturgess is a visionary strategist and a proponent of building clients' brands through a deeper understanding of the nonconscious drivers of attention, engagement, and persuasion, ultimately influencing customer choice. In 2011, Forbes named Buyology as one of the Top 100 Promising Companies in America. She is an international speaker and writer on the elements of creating remarkable brands, with her articles appearing in leading magazines such as Harvard Business Review, Forbes, Brand Week, and Advertising Age. Her book, Eyeballs, was recognized as one of the Top 25 Books in Business by CEO Read in 2011. She has received multiple accolades, including being named one of the Top 15 Women in Business by Ernst & Young, and recognized as one of the Top 20 Innovation Bloggers in 2011 and 2012.
