Biography

Donniell Fishkind is an Associate Research Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Johns Hopkins University. His research focuses on graph theory and matrix analysis with current projects encompassing various applications such as topological aspects of medical imaging, graph matching, vertex nomination, probabilistic path planning, random graph models, social networks, and scheduling problems. He is affiliated with the Institute for Computational Medicine and the Human Language Technology Center of Excellence at Johns Hopkins. Fishkind obtained his BS and MS in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 1991 and 1993, respectively, followed by an MSE and PhD in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Johns Hopkins University in 1995 and 1998. His academic contributions are reflected in his engagement with students and dedication to teaching and mentorship, as recognized by awards at the Whiting School of Engineering.
