Biography

Doretta McGinnis is a legal educator and consultant with expertise in legal writing, employment law, bar exam preparation, and college law school admissions. She is a partner in an educational consulting practice focused on college law school admissions, where she mentors low-income, first-generation college applicants. Doretta has practiced labor and employment law at a major Philadelphia law firm and was previously at Widener University Delaware Law School as a Lecturer, where she served as the associate director of the legal methods program. At Delaware Law, she developed the curriculum for an upper-level legal writing course and taught courses in legal research writing, employment discrimination, and labor law. After leaving Delaware Law, Doretta developed an online evidence course for the LL.M. program at the University of Dayton and tutored numerous law students and bar students for exam preparation.
