Dr. Dori Adriani

Biography

Dori is an academic researcher specializing in European Union law, procedural law, and empirical legal studies. He holds a law degree LL.M. in civil procedural law and civil law from Democritus University of Thrace in Greece and another LL.M. in German European procedural law from Ruprecht Karl University of Heidelberg in Germany. Following this, he completed his PhD (summa cum laude) with a focus on the role of soft law in shaping national justice systems. His research is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach and focuses on innovative and emerging topics within EU law. Dori's expertise spans comparative European procedural law, private international law, and judicial performance evaluation. He has been involved in various projects, including the VICI project funded by the Dutch Research Council on 'Affordable Access to Justice'. He has also worked as a visiting researcher at the University of Genoa in Italy to examine the implications of third-party funding in civil litigation. Dori has extensive experience in legal research and consultancy and has lectured at the University of Luxembourg. He served as Assistant Editor of the International Journal of Procedural Law and became a member of the International Association of Procedural Law.
