Dr. Doron Nussbaum

Biography

Doron Nussbaum is an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science at Carleton University. He obtained his Ph.D. from Carleton in 2001, following a Master of Computer Science from the same institution in 1988, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Tel Aviv University in 1985. His research focuses on a diverse range of areas including Algorithms, Computational Geometry, Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, Data Structures, Distributed Computing, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). He has a strong interest in Medical Computing, Parallel Computing, and Robotics, as well as the specific field of Machine Vision. Over his academic career, Nussbaum has contributed significantly to advancing knowledge in these domains, demonstrating a commitment to integrating theoretical insights with practical applications. His work has helped bridge the gap between complex computational theories and real-world technological challenges, making him a prominent figure in the realm of computer science research at Carleton University.
