Dr. Dorothy Boasiako

Biography

Dorothy Antwi Boasiako is a PhD fellow at the Centre of African Studies at the University of Copenhagen. Her academic focus includes Gender Studies, Migration, and African Studies, exploring themes such as the migration experience, displacement, and constructions of masculinity, particularly in relation to Ghanaian men in Denmark. She holds two Master's degrees: one in African Studies from the University of Copenhagen, which she completed in August 2021, and another in Literature-In-English from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana, which she completed in September 2018. Her research aims to deliver insights into the intersections of gender, migration, and cultural narratives, contributing to a deeper understanding of these dynamics within both African and European contexts.
