Biography

Doug Schmitt is a Professor in the Department of Earth, Atmospheric, Planetary Sciences at Purdue University, holding the Stephen Karen Brand Endowed Chair in Unconventional Energy. His research interests are focused on experimental rock physics mechanics, porous media characterization, scientific drilling, near-surface borehole seismology, and optical interferometry deformation analysis.
