Biography

Douglas W. Comeau is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Bachelor of Arts at Colby College. Dr. Comeau completed his residency in family medicine at Tufts University, where he also served as the administrative chief resident. He furthered his training with a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Wake Forest University. In his current role, Dr. Comeau is the medical director for the sports medicine practices at the Ryan Center Sports Medicine on Boston University’s Charles River campus. He has served as a team physician for Boston University and has extensive experience working with various collegiate athletics, including Wake Forest University and Winston-Salem State University. His special interests include osteopathic manipulation, rehabilitation, and managing musculoskeletal injuries. An avid Boston sports fan, he enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife Rainelle and their daughter Charlotte.
