Dr. Douglas Drover

Biography

Douglas Drover is a busy private practice urologist with a special interest in uro-oncology and surgical stone disease. His practice encompasses various aspects of adult urology. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Memorial University in 1983, where he earned a gold medal for academic excellence. In 1985, he completed his Bachelor of Medical Science at Memorial University, followed by his Doctor of Medicine in 1987. He completed a rotating internship in Newfoundland in 1987-88 and then finished his specialty training at Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, in 1992, receiving certification from the Royal College in Urology the same year. Drover has been in full-time practice in St. John's ever since, where he works with a group called Urology Consultants. His office also engages in a variety of privately-funded research projects, focusing on areas such as erectile dysfunction, bladder overactivity, and phase III drug trials.
