Biography

Douglas Galasko, MD, is a board-certified neurologist with extensive experience in assessing changes in memory and cognition, specializing in Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal degeneration, dementia with Lewy bodies, and cognitive problems associated with Parkinson's disease. He is the associate director of the UC San Diego Shiley-Marcos Alzheimer's Disease Research Center and has conducted research on Alzheimer's-related disorders for over 25 years, publishing more than 400 research articles on these topics. Dr. Galasko has received funding from prominent organizations including the NIH and the Michael J. Fox Foundation, supporting clinical trials and research opportunities for patients.
