Biography

D. Kyle Hogarth, MD, FCCP, is a Professor of Medicine in the Section of Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine at the University of Chicago. He serves as the Director of Bronchoscopy and is heavily involved in advanced bronchoscopy and interventional pulmonary practices. Dr. Hogarth has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, including high-impact journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, Chest, and the European Respiratory Journal (ERJ). Additionally, he is a member of the editorial board of CHEST and serves as section editor for its podcast segment. He has received numerous clinical and teaching awards from the University of Chicago. Dr. Hogarth is a founding member and past President of the Society for Advanced Bronchoscopy, where he continues to contribute to the advancement of the field. His educational background includes a BA from Miami University, followed by an MD from Case Western Reserve University. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Pulmonary Critical Care at the University of Chicago.
