Biography

Douw Steyn is a Professor Emeritus at the University of British Columbia, specializing in atmospheric science and meteorology. He has received multiple awards for his contributions to the field, including the UBC Faculty of Science Killam Teaching Prize and the Canadian Federation Earth Sciences Mentorship Medal. He published a book titled 'Introduction to Atmospheric Modelling' in 2015 with Cambridge University Press, which outlines fundamental concepts in atmospheric modeling.
