Biography

Drazen Dujic is an Associate Professor and the Head of the Power Electronics Laboratory at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). He received his Dipl.Ing. and MSc degrees from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia, in 2002 and 2005, respectively, and earned a PhD from Liverpool John Moores University in the UK in 2008. Prior to joining EPFL in 2014, he worked as a Research Assistant and Research Associate at the University of Novi Sad and Liverpool John Moores University, respectively. He also gained industry experience while working at ABB Switzerland Ltd, where he held positions from Scientist to Principal Scientist. Dujic's research focuses on the design and control of advanced high-power electronic systems, particularly in medium-voltage applications related to electrical energy generation, conversion, and storage. He has authored and co-authored over 200 scientific publications and is a holder of 22 patents. His contributions to high-power electronics technologies have earned him several accolades, including the Istvan Nagy Award and the EPE Outstanding Service Award. He is also recognized as an IEEE Fellow and serves as the Chairman of the Swiss IEEE Power Electronics Society Chapter until 2024.
