Dr. Ducksoo Kim

Biography

Dr. Ducksoo Kim is a seasoned physician specializing in interventional radiology. His medical education began at the Catholic Medical College, now known as the Catholic University of Korea College of Medicine, where he earned both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees. Following his initial training, he completed a radiology residency at Beth Israel Medical Center and furthered his education with a fellowship at Stanford University. Dr. Kim has a distinguished career that includes over 15 years on the faculty of Harvard Medical School, where he advanced to the rank of Associate Professor and later became a Professor. He has made significant contributions to the field through extensive publishing, with more than 110 articles and over 30 chapters to his name, and has played a key role in 37 clinical trials. Notably, he holds 31 patents related to medical devices, including a groundbreaking contraceptive technology developed for use in developing countries. His academic influence extends to the editing of vital textbooks in his field, including "Peripheral Vascular Imaging Intervention" and "Vascular Imaging Intervention." Dr. Kim's leadership continues with his directorship in Interventional Radiology at several prominent hospitals in collaboration with Harvard Medical School and Boston University. He is actively involved in professional societies such as the Radiological Society of North America and the American Heart Association.
