Dr. Duncan Ivison

Biography

Duncan Ivison is a prominent scholar in the field of political philosophy and currently serves as the President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Manchester. He brings extensive experience from various academic positions, including serving as the Head of the School of Humanities and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney. Ivison has held roles at respected institutions such as the Australian National University, University of York, and University of Toronto. He has been a visiting professor at the Australian National University and is actively engaged in academic governance and research to advance understanding of political theory, moral philosophy, and history of political thought.
