Biography

Dung Phan is a PhD candidate in International Relations at the Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs, Australian National University (ANU). His research interests primarily focus on Vietnam's foreign policy, memory politics, and the country's experiences with war, peace, and reconciliation. Dung’s PhD project investigates Vietnamese agency in transnational memory politics, particularly regarding Agent Orange and dioxin. Before joining ANU, he served as a Research Officer at the Vietnam Studies Program at the ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute in Singapore. Throughout his academic career, Dung has contributed to various journals, including Review of International Studies, Asia Policy, Pacific Review, and the Journal of Contemporary History. He holds a Master's degree in Asian Studies from the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies obtained in 2021, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Tokyo International University completed in 2020.
