Dylan Robinson is a xwélmexw (Stó:lō/Skwah) artist, curator, and writer who has significantly contributed to the field of Indigenous arts. He served as the Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Arts at Queen’s University from 2015 to 2022. His curatorial work includes the international touring exhibition Soundings, co-curated with Candice Hopkins, which runs from 2019 to 2025. Robinson's current research project, xoxelhmetset te syewa:l, Caring Ancestors, focuses on reconnecting Indigenous artists with their kinship ties and Indigenous life in the context of museums. His book, Hungry Listening, published by the University of Minnesota Press in 2020, investigates Indigenous and settler colonial practices of listening and has received multiple awards, including recognition from the Native American Indigenous Studies Association. He has also edited an important volume, Music Modernity Indigenous Peoples North America, published by Wesleyan University Press in 2019, and contributed to the volume Arts Engagement: Taking Aesthetic Action Truth Reconciliation Commission Canada.
