Biography

Eamon Devlin is an entrepreneur and lawyer focused on the sports and private equity sectors. He founded Minute9, a sports consultancy that advises professional sports teams during half-times. Eamon completed his MSc in Psychological Sciences at Brunel University. As an investment funds lawyer, he has experience representing investors and focusing on fund formation, with clients that include national governments and family offices. He co-founded MJ Hudson, a law advisory firm, in 2011 and previously worked at Proskauer Rose in Boston and London, as well as SJ Berwin. Eamon left MJ Hudson in 2021 to seek a new challenge. He regularly advises national regulators in Europe and is a commentator and speaker on industry-related issues, serving on the ILPA committee that aims to simplify Limited Partnership Agreements. In 2014, he was listed as one of Financial News' '40 Under 40' rising stars in the European legal profession and in 2017 as part of Private Funds Management's '30 Under 40'. Eamon, who grew up in South Armagh, Northern Ireland, attended the London School of Economics to study Law. He is also a keen sports coach, particularly in contact sports, and is interested in discovering the intersection of business and sport; he currently coaches a senior Gaelic football team. Eamon teaches private equity at the Saïd Business School and has contributed to the creation and delivery of the online Oxford Private Markets Investments Programme, from which 1,200 students graduated in 2019. He also serves as a business mentor for Oxford Creators, a non-profit organization that teaches children who have been expelled from mainstream education.
