Biography

Eanna O'Ceallachain is a Senior Lecturer in Italian at the University of Glasgow, involved in the Arts and Humanities Academic and Student Administration as Assistant Chief Adviser Studies. His recent research focuses on the work of Edoardo Sanguineti and the 1960s neoavanguardia movement, which has expanded from an initial interest in Sanguineti's poetry to include broader cultural phenomena over the years. He has extensively worked on modern Italian poetry, contributing to the 2007 anthology 'Twentieth-Century Poetry'. His research topics have particularly included the poetry of Eugenio Montale, and he has published various articles and a monograph, along with an edited volume of essays. In addition to his research, Eanna teaches Italian language at all levels, as well as Honours options in Italian Modernism, Modern Poetry, and Comparative Literature.
