Biography

Eavan Casey is an accomplished poet and writer based in Ireland. She has held prestigious roles including Hurst Professor at Washington University and Regent's Lecturer at the University of California at Santa Barbara. Casey has published ten volumes of poetry, with notable works including 'New Collected Poems' (2008) and 'Domestic Violence' (2007). Her extensive contributions to literature have earned her accolades such as the Lannan Award for Poetry and the American Ireland Fund Literary Award. In addition to her poetry, she is the author of two critically acclaimed prose volumes, including 'Object Lessons: Life Woman Poet Time' and 'Journey Maps: Becoming Woman Poet,' for which she received the 2012 PEN Award for creative nonfiction.
