Biography

Ebrahim Ghafar-Zadeh is an Associate Professor and the Undergraduate Program Director at the Lassonde School of Engineering, specializing in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department. His research interests lie in the development of biologically inspired integrated sensors and actuators as well as integrated circuits and microfluidics. He is at the forefront of integrating biological principles into engineering design to create innovative solutions in sensor technology. Through his role at York University, he is involved in teaching and guiding undergraduate students in their engineering studies, emphasizing practical and theoretical concepts. His academic contributions are recognized within the field, and he actively engages in research that bridges the gap between biology and engineering, contributing to advancements in both areas.
