Biography

Ed Brambley is an Associate Professor in the Mathematics Department at the University of Warwick and a UKRI Future Leaders' Fellow. His research encompasses mathematical modeling with significant industrial relevance, focusing on aspects such as aeroacoustics, fluid-solid interactions, and computational aeroacoustics. Current investigations involve the mathematical modeling of metal forming processes, the effectiveness of acoustic linings in aircraft engine intakes, and optimizing finite difference stencils for wave propagation. He thrives on supervising undergraduate internships and summer projects designed for mathematics and engineering students that aim to lead to publication in prominent journals. Brambley is also actively seeking PhD students with a strong mathematical foundation and knowledge of asymptotics, emphasizing a computational familiarity beneficial for advanced research methodologies.
