Dr. Ed Bukszar

Biography

Ed Bukszar, PhD (Arizona), serves as an Associate Professor in Strategy at the Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University. He joined the Beedie School in 1989 and has taught as a visiting professor in various MBA Executive programs across Europe and Asia. Throughout his career, Bukszar has received multiple accolades, including the TD Canada Trust Excellence in Teaching Award, and has been recognized on the Beedie Teaching Honour Roll. His research primarily concentrates on behavioral decision-making and systemic biases in decision making, which play a critical role in informing strategy development and implementation. He has consulted for a diverse range of high-tech international businesses to enhance their strategic frameworks. During the 2013-2014 academic year, Bukszar took a two-year leave from SFU to serve as the CEO of the Chartered Accountant School of Business (CASB), where he led the launch of the CPA program in Canada and facilitated the merger of accounting educational programs with the Chartered Professional Accountants School of Business (CPASB). In addition to his academic pursuits, Ed is a competitive triathlete and enjoys activities such as swimming, golfing, and traveling.
