Biography

Edgar A. Matida is a Professor and the Chair of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Carleton University. He holds a B.Sc. from Sao Paulo University and both a M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Yokohama National University. His research focuses on aerosol science and technology, particularly in pharmaceutical aerosols and inhalation devices. He has contributed significantly to the field through his work on large eddy simulation, dispersed two-phase models, and airfoil-vortex interactions. He is also involved in modeling direct methanol fuel cells and has published numerous articles in reputable journals. Beyond academia, he serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Aerosol Medicine and Pulmonary Drug Delivery and is a member of the International Society for Aerosols in Medicine (ISAM).
