Biography

Dr. Eduard Iliescu completed his Nephrology training at the University of Toronto and joined the Division of Nephrology at Queen’s University in 1995. He obtained a Master's degree in Clinical Epidemiology in 2000. Dr. Iliescu is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Queen’s University and serves as the Medical Director of the hemodialysis program at Kingston General Hospital, as well as the Regional Medical Lead for the Ontario Renal Network in the South-East Ontario Region. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Nephrology, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Iliescu established an active Nephrology training program at Queen’s University and served as the Program Director from 2000 to 2005. His research interest focuses on clinical outcomes in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
