Biography

Edward Bispham is an Associate Professor of Ancient History and a Tutorial Fellow at Brasenose College, University of Oxford. Over the past decade and a half, he has made significant contributions to the understanding of Roman historiography and has been involved in numerous fieldwork projects in central Italy. His recent return from a year spent as a university administrator has reignited his focus on full-time research and teaching, allowing him to continue his exploration of the social and cultural dynamics in ancient Rome, including his work on the Social War. Bispham has a record of various publications, contributing to the academic community through both edited volumes and scholarly articles.
