Dr. Edward Massey

Biography

Edward Wayne Massey is a Professor in the Department of Neurology at Duke University. His clinical expertise includes neuropathy, rehabilitation, and diving medicine, with specific interests in optic neuritis and neuromuscular diseases. Dr. Massey obtained his M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 1970. He has held several academic appointments, progressing from Assistant Clinical Professor to his current position as Professor with tenure. Throughout his career, he has actively contributed to clinical trials and research funded by the Food and Drug Administration, particularly focusing on therapeutic interventions for conditions such as Myasthenia Gravis.
