Dr. Edward Miller

Biography

Edward J. Miller, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Medicine in the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, where he also serves as the Vice Chief for Education and directs the Nuclear Cardiology Lab. He specializes in diagnosing and treating infiltrative cardiomyopathies, with a focus on cardiac sarcoidosis and amyloidosis, utilizing advanced nuclear cardiac imaging techniques. Dr. Miller completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame and earned his MD from Loyola-Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital and subsequently achieved his PhD in Investigative Medicine from Yale, where he focused on the cardioprotective effects of AMP-activated protein kinase. He has received numerous accolades for his medical research, including the NIH/NHLBI K08 award. Additionally, Dr. Miller's contributions to cardiovascular medicine have established him as an expert and leader in the field, frequently collaborating with colleagues on research projects related to cardiovascular health and disease.
