Dr. Edward Randell

Biography

Edward Randell is a Professor of Laboratory Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland. He possesses a B.Sc. and a PhD in Biochemistry from Memorial University and a Diploma in Clinical Chemistry from the University of Toronto. Randell is a Certified Clinical Chemist and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy for Clinical Biochemistry. His academic involvement extends to national and international organizations, focusing on laboratory medicine. He has been an active member of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine Committee on Clinical Laboratory Management since 2016. He has co-edited a book on leadership in clinical laboratory professionals and has published over 100 articles in international peer-reviewed journals. Randell's primary research interests include the discovery and characterization of biochemical markers of disease, evidence-based laboratory medicine, and process improvement methodologies.
