Biography

Edward G. Sherwood is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carleton University. He specializes in Structural Engineering and has a strong academic background with a B.A.Sc. and M.A.Sc. from the University of Waterloo, followed by a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. His research interests focus on masonry concrete structures, the integration of modern materials, rehabilitation techniques, and the analytical methods used in current concrete masonry design practices. He has extensively studied the shear behaviour of large concrete masonry structures. Professor Sherwood is also involved in supervising graduate research students and has taught a variety of courses related to mechanics and concrete design at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
