Biography

Edwin Wang is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary. He holds the AIHS Translational Chair and is a member of the Alberta Children's Hospital Research Institute and the Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute. His research primarily involves cancer genomics and precision medicine applications. His work includes big data analysis, the development of novel algorithms for modeling molecular networks and diseases, and conducting systems biology research using both computational and experimental approaches. Professor Wang has extensive experience in statistical modeling, machine learning, and deep learning methodologies.
