Biography

Efraim Chagai Chalamish is an international economic law scholar and practitioner with extensive experience in international legal practice across New York, Paris, and Israel. He is a Global Fellow at New York University's Institute for International Law and Justice, specializing in various cutting-edge areas of public and private international economic law. His research focuses on the intersection of business and national security, the economics and policy of sovereign wealth funds, and energy markets, as well as international investment arbitration and financial regulation. Chalamish has published articles in leading journals and magazines across the United States and Europe, including the European Journal of International Law. He is the founder and president of the Global Center for Economic Development and Security, and in 2011, he was named a Future Global Leader by the French Government. In addition to his work at NYU, he serves as an adjunct and visiting professor at various academic institutions, including the University of Fribourg in Switzerland.
