Biography

Egon Dejonckheere is a part-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical and Clinical Psychology. He received his PhD in 2019 from KU Leuven, Belgium, and is currently a post-doctoral researcher funded by the Flemish Research Fund (FWO). His research uses experience sampling methodology to understand how emotions fluctuate in everyday life, patterns indicative of individuals' mental well-being. He is involved in the development of the m-Path distribution, a blended care platform that connects daily life research with clinical practice. In 2020, Dr. Dejonckheere was awarded the Early Career Researcher Award by the Society for Ambulatory Assessment. In his spare time, he works as a clinical psychologist treating patients with depression and anxiety complaints.
