Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Egor Bondarau. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Egor Bondarau is an Associate Professor chairing the ‘AI Multi-modal Sensing’ (AIMS) lab within the Signal Processing Systems group at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). The AIMS lab focuses on research in artificial intelligence and machine learning models for multi-modal perception systems across various domains such as smart cities, public safety, intelligent transportation, defense, and broadcasting. Bondarau has developed AI models that perform analyses by fusing data from different sensor modalities including thermal, LiDAR, RGB, depth, and acoustic 4D imaging radar. This fusion-empowered analysis aims to provide real-time situational awareness for the aforementioned industries. He is involved as a principal investigator in European research projects like SMART Mobility, SINTRA, and ELEVATION ADVISOR. Bondarau has organized the valorization and exploitation of AI models developed during projects with ST Microelectronics (France), ViNotion (Netherlands), INRIA (France), and ProDrive (Netherlands). His extensive collaboration network includes notable academic institutions (such as TU Munich, Ghent University, and Birmingham University) and industry partners (including Philips, NXP, ASML, Bosch, Demcon, Rijkswaterstaat, and Esri Canada). He lectures on master’s and bachelor’s courses related to computer vision and data processing, and he has co-authored over 100 publications related to real-time computer vision and AI image/3D processing algorithms. Bondarau is also the organizer of the ePictureThis workshop series and has been involved in ICMV and ACIVS conferences.
