Dr. Ehimen Aneni

Biography

Ehimen Aneni, MD, MPH, FACC, is an Assistant Professor in Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. His research primarily focuses on cardiometabolic health and its relationship with cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and metabolic risk factors, particularly the intersection of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and CVD. Over the past three years, he has intensified his research efforts on the role of OSA in the occurrence, severity, and outcomes of CVD, uncovering a significant association between abnormal myocardial flow reserve and severe OSA. His findings underscore the implications of this association as a marker for coronary microvascular dysfunction. Dr. Aneni has presented his research at major national conferences, including the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. His work has been published in prestigious peer-reviewed journals such as JACC, Circulation Quality of Care and Cardiovascular Outcomes, and Mayo Clinic Proceedings.
